The Road Victims Trust will benefit from a charity challenge with a difference – The Great Escape.

Three local lovelies – aka Florrie’s Floosies – will be dumped at a mystery location 150 miles from Bedford and given only £1 each to find their way back.

Team leader Jo Wareham of Bramingham said: “We’ll be dressed as 1940s Land Army girls and we’ll be relying on our charm, wit, lateral thinking and a bit of cheeky cunning to get us home.”

She added: “I witnessed a fatal car crash last December and quickly learned about the vital support the Road Victims Trust offers affected families and witnesses.

“The Great Escape is a crazy, exciting challenge to raise money and awareness of this extraordinary charity.”

Team member Deborah Saini – head of legal firm Picton’s personal injury department – said: “I’m ready to take on this unique challenge because many of the clients in my department are road accident victims.

“I have absolutely no idea how we’ll get home, so we’re calling on friendly drivers to take pity on us in our Land Girl costumes and get us back as soon as possible.

“We’ll have to be very inventive and of course ensure we keep ourselves safe and secure.

“It will be fun, at the same time as raising awareness and funds for this important cause.”

Third member of the trio is Pauline Mitchelmore, PA to Milton Keynes MP Mark Lancaster.

Jo explained that one of their money-making ruses was to sell kisses en route.

She said: “I know Debs and Pauline are going to be fabulous Floosies and we’re going to have so much fun completing this challenge.”

The Road Victims Trust is committed to supporting people who have been affected by the grief and trauma of collisions involving road deaths and serious or life-changing injuries. These include family, friends and colleagues of the person who has been killed or injured as well as witnesses of these collisions.
