A distraught father whose son had a steel pin inserted in his leg after being knocked down in a hit-and-run accident after Christmas has made a further appeal for witnesses.
Sajan Hussain (above), who travelled from his home in Dudley to be with his son Yasar, said the 17-year-old was still suffering from flashbacks and was afraid to go out after the incident on December 27.
The teenager, who lives with his mother in Highbury Road, was coming back from the shops and was on the zebra crossing at Biscot Road.
Mr Hussain, 35, said: “He’s in a very bad state. He’s a keen sportsman and won’t be able to play football for some time because of the surgery.”
