Firework attack treated as arson

Appeal for witnesses after firework is pushed through letterbox of Kemspton shop

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a firework was pushed through the letterbox of a Kempston shop on Thursday evening, (November 11).

The incident happened at approximately 8pm at Franco's Continental Grocery Store in Margetts Road.

The Fire Service and Scenes of Crime Officers attended the scene and the incident is being treated as arson.

The officer in charge of the investigation, PC Alister McGaw, would urge anyone who saw a person or a group of people in the Margetts Road area on Thursday night acting suspiciously to come forward and help with this investigation.
