A national food drive to help people in poverty is calling for volunteers in Luton next Thursday to Saturday (November 27 - 29).
They’re needed at Tesco Metro in the Mall. Items collected are for food redistribution charity FareShare, which is part of Tesco’s Neighbourhood Food Collection, the country’s biggest.
Customers will be invited to donate tins of meat, fish, pies, soup and vegetables as well as pasta, rice, te, coffee and long life milk.
FairShare spokesperson Catherine Burglass said: “Each volunteer can help us collect enough for 500 meals in just three hours.” > To volunteer call 020 73942474.
