Luton Town suffered their sixth consecutive defeat on Saturday as they were beaten 2-1 by Northampton Town in League Two.

The Hatters had taken the lead moments after half time, thanks to Alex Lawless’ excellent long range curler.

However, captain Steve McNulty then had to go off injured, while Michael Harriman was harshly adjudged to have handled a cross, with Ricky Holmes converting the penalty.

Northampton then won it late on, as James Gray converted from close range, ensure the Hatters fell out of the play-off places for the first time since October.
