Luton Town U18s comfortably progressed to the FA Youth Cup second round after a 4-1 victory over Didcot Town on Tuesday night.
The Hatters raced into a 4-0 lead after just 31 minutes at Kenilworth Road, and although they couldn’t add to their tally, will now travel to Oxford City in the next stage.
Hatters had the lead after 13 minutes when Isaac Galliford netted from a direct free-kick in the area after the Railwaymen goalkeeper had picked up a backpass.
It was 2-0 nine minutes later as Alex Atkinson picked up a loose pass and finished well from the edge of the area.
Town were dominant now as Galliford’s mazy run saw him deliver a perfect cross for Tuki Tayali to slot home from close range.
It was 4-0 just after the half hour mark too as Osamu Allman was on target with an assured finish.
Hatters continued to create further opportunities before half time, but it remained 4-0 at the interval.
After the break, Luton kept attaking as Tayali and Galliford both went close only to be denied by Didcot goalkeeper Beckham Janes.
Didcot pulled a consolation goal back late on through when striker Charlie Noble netted with a fine volley from just inside the penalty area.
Town U18s are scheduled to host Barnet in the Youth Alliance League at Ely Way on Saturday.
