More than 900 people attended Luton’s recent Employment, Training and Skills Fair (LETS) at Venue Central.

Supported by the Council, Job Centre Plus, Community Interest Luton and other organisations, the fair attracted nearly 60 stand holders including local businesses, education and training providers, recruitment agencies and many more with hundreds of job and training opportunities on offer.

There was also a range of workshops devoted to creating a CV, using social media, interview techniques and job applications.

Cllr Sian Timoney, portfolio holder for transformation and regeneration, said: “We know there are jobs available for those prepared to search for them, so the LETS fair gives job seekers the chance to meet potential employers face-to-face and discuss job vacancies.”
