A man was left in a coma after being hit by a car last Wednesday at 7pm on Barton Hill Road.

The victim, a 51-year-old jogger from Barton, was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital with broken bones and remains in a coma.

At the time the car, a Peugeot 307, was travelling west on Barton Hill Road towards the junction with the A6.

Police are looking for anyone who may have been in the area at the time , in particular two drivers ahead of the red Peugeot at the time of the incident.

The jogger is described to have been wearing a yellow running top and black shorts.
