Limbury youth group organises fundraiser for The Children's Society

they immediately set about organising a fundraiser for the charity in the church hall.

Members of the group, aged between 11 and 16, who meet every Monday designed and created home decorations and embellished tea lights for a craft and cake sale which raised £440.

The money raised will go towards the Society’s work with children living in poverty, young carers, young refugees and those who run away from home.

Twelve-year-old Aaron said: “It’s a great feeling knowing that you’ve helped people who need it and aren’t as fortunate as you.”

Society spokesman Jonathan Mann said: “It’s wonderful that the young people were so motivated by Gill’s talk and able to raise such an impressive amount.

“Every penny will help us continue our life-changing work with children who have nowhere else to turn and we’re incredibly grateful for their efforts.”
