Arrest at Luton Airport over missing woman

A MAN harrested at Luton Airport is being questioned about the suspected murder of missing businesswoman Carole Waugh.

Detectives investigating the disappearance of the 50-year-old, who has not been seen since April, say they are now treating the case as murder.

The man was arrested at the airport on Tuesday on suspicion of kidnap and conspiracy to defraud, and is now being questioned on suspicion of murder.

Ms Waugh was originally from Durham and worked in Libya as an oil executive before returning to the UK to live in London.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the case to call 020 8721 4205 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
