'Baby machine' couple in media spotlight

Pair are reported to have signed exclusive newspaper deal

A couple's vow to keep having children until social workers let them keep one has put them at the centre of a media scrum.

Theresa Winters, 36, who has had 13 children and is expecting her 14th, and her partner Toney Housden, also 36, have featured in national newspapers including The Sun and The Daily Mail today.

All of their children have been removed from their care by social services due to their lack of parenting ability. But the Marsh Farm couple say they would make good parents if only Luton Borough Council would give them the chance.

The decision to go public with their private lives could be a lucrative one for the benefits-dependent couple, who are understood to have signed a deal with one tabloid for exclusive coverage until the birth of their next child.
