BMW driver taken to hospital after crash

A driver has been taken to hospital following a serious collision in Toddington this morning.

A silver BMW hit a telegraph police after rolling on the A5120 Harlington Road between Toddington and the M1.

The road currently remains closed.

The collision happened just before 6.30am and a white van is understood to have also been involved. The driver of the BMW had to be cut from their car.

An ambulance service spokesman said two ambulances, paramedic officer and a rapid response vehicle attended, and a man was taken to the Luton & Dunstable Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Bedfordshire Police have warned of black ice on the county’s roads this morning.

A spokesman for Central Bedfordshire Council said all ‘Priority 1’ routes, including the A5120, were gritted from 9pm last night.
