Bridge to close

editorial image

Sundon Arch Bridge – located between Toddington Road and Sundon Park Road – will be closed from Monday, November 5 for essential works.

These are expected to last about three weeks.

Two new toucan crossings will be constructed to help pedestrians and cyclists cross both roads.

The closure will also allow the existing footway to be removed and relaid as roadway and a new footway to be constructed on the opposite side.

A temporary footway under the bridge will be in place for the duration of the works.

It’s recommended that drivers allow extra time for their journeys.
