Road works in Church Street will continue for an extra four weeks as Luton - Dunstable Busway contractors have discovered an unknown utility apparatus under the road.
The road will now remain closed to traffic and pedestrians until October 29, between Station Road and the entrance to Bute Street shoppers’ car park. Work to construct the signal junction safely can only be completed once individual utility companies have checked their apparatus and advised if it can be removed.
