An animal-lover is desperately trying to find the owner of a cat she rescued from on top of a bus stop in Lower Sundon.
Karen Saunders, who lives in Harlington, discovered this one-year-old tortoiseshell cat as she drove home from Luton on August 2.
She is hoping to reunite it with its owner as local rescue centres are all over-capacity.
Karen said: “I drove past and noticed there was a massive box on top of the bus stop in the lay-by. I thought, ‘something is in that massive box, it’s got holes all the way round it’, so I drove back to look.
“I looked in the box and saw there was a young cat sitting in there. I took her home to care for her and I’ve been round all the vets and rescue centres but can’t find the owner.”
The cat is not micro-chipped, but Karen said she is in “immaculate condition”.
Karen said: “I’m keeping her in my spare room at the moment but my cats are not obliging towards other cats. I’ve got two massive rescue dogs as well, so I can’t keep her but I can’t just dump her at a rescue centre. She is starting to come out of her shell, she is a cute little thing.”
