The baby involved in a car crash in Dallow Road yesterday is now in a critical condition.

The 11-month-old girl was a passenger in her mother’s silver Daewoo Matiz when it collided with a blue Skoda Superb at the junction of Dallow Road and Kingsway at about 2pm.

The baby was taken to the Luton and Dunstable hospital for treatment to a head injury and is now at Addenbrooke’s hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the Skoda was unhurt.

Anyone who saw the incident or the lead up to it is urged to call the Collision Investigation Unit on 101.
