Decision nears on Green Belt housing plans

PLANS for 50 homes on the outskirts of Caddington look set to be given the go-ahead next week despite being on Green Belt land.

Woodstock Estates Ltd has applied to build the homes to the rear of the scout hut in Dunstable Road, and Central Beds Council planning officers have recommended that permission be granted for the development.

The plans, which include 19 ‘affordable’ homes, will be heard by members of the council’s development management committee at their meeting on Wednesday, July 18 at 10am at Priory House in Shefford.
