EasyJet worker honoured for uniform overhaul
Tina receives award from top designer
A worker at no-frills airline easyJet has won an award after overhauling cabin crew uniforms.
Tina Milton, head of cabin services at the Luton-based firm, was winner in the 'corporatewear' section at the Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show in Birmingham.
She planned, designed and distributed the new uniform for 3,500 easyJet cabin crew at 17 bases across six countries in 2007.
Designer Jeff Banks presented her with the award at a glittering ceremony at the Hilton Metropole Hotel at Birmingham's NEC.
Project Uniform was supported by easyJet CEO, Andy Harrison, who was involved in the wearer trials.
The final wardrobe was showcased in a fashion show in an aircraft hangar, as well at roadshows at all crew bases.
