FCC apprentice scheme
RAIL operator First Capital Connect has launched an apprenticeship scheme aimed at getting young people on the right track to a career path in customer service.
The FCC scheme, launched last Friday, is aimed at helping unskilled youngsters into work.
It will give five recruits aged 18 to 23 all the training needed to gain an NVQ level 2 and 3 qualification and guarantee them a job at the end of their year-long course.
The company is even offering extra tuition in reading, writing and arithmetic.
It is part of the Career Connections initiative that includes customer service recruitment days, driver recruitment days, engineering apprenticeships, and an extension of the Job Centre Plus initiative to give job seekers free travel to interviews.
Anyone interested in joining the scheme should email apprenticeshipsfcc@remit.co.uk or call 01623 410042.
