Help for your ‘new year, new you’ promises

editorial image

Central Beds Council are on hand to help anyone who made a ‘new year, new me’ resolution to eat healthier this year.

Supporting the national Love Food Hate Waste campaign, the council aims to assist residents who wish to ditch bad habits for a better diet.

As well as personal welbeing, healthy resolutions can also save you money as well as help the environment.

We are told that eating five portions of fruit and veg a day is an important part of a healthy diet, but 17 billion ‘five a day’ portions are thrown away in the UK every year.

The council are getting involved by posting healthy, environmentally-friendly, portion-controlled recipes on their website.
