Hunt to find Pictons’ penalty king

A LUTON law firm has launched a penalty shoot out contest in 21 of the town’s schools to raise funds for Keech Hospice Care.
Pictons solicitors is celebrating the palliative care facility’s 21st birthday by sponsoring the Penalty Kings competition.
Participating schools, covering students of ages from seven to 18, will be given a goal by Pictons from the Penalty Kings charity initiative. Each school will then hold a penalty shoot out competition, for boys and girls, to find class and teacher champions. The pupils, students and teachers will be asked to make a donation to the Hospice in order to take part and have some fun for a great cause.
The winners from each of the schools with then take part in a grand final at Barnfield College on March 30, where 300 finalists are expected.
Sukh Saini of Pictons, said: “This is a fantastic schools challenge and an exciting and fun way for pupils and students to raise money for such an important local charity as Keech. It’s also a celebration of the brilliant work the Hospice does and the contribution it has made to the local community in the past 21 years.
“The winners will receive medals and the school which raises the most money for Keech will receive a prize from us. We are delighted to be sponsoring this event and we’ll be visiting a number of the participating schools to launch the challenge in February.”
