The new Hampton by Hilton hotel in Kimpton Road

A bold new addition to the Luton landscape has been welcoming its first guests.

The 188-room Hampton by Hilton hotel in Kimpton Road had its official opening yesterday (Tuesday November 27), just over a year after building work got underway on the site.

The building is adjacent to Luton Parkway station, where a new entrance on the Kimpton Road side of the line is expected to open just before Christmas, giving guests direct access.

Area vice president Stephen Cassidy said: “We’re in a great position here, there will shortly be access straight to the station platforms to go into London, and it’s a five minute taxi ride up to the airport.”

Aimed at the “value-conscious traveller”, the hotel provides free wi-fi throughout, complimentary breakfasts and a 100 per cent satisfaction guarantee.
