Youth footballer Andrew Hall has been jailed for life with a minimum term of 10 years, after pleading guilty to the murder of his 15-year-old girlfriend.

Luton Crown Court heard this morning how the 18-year-old Stoke City Academy player, of Robin Close, Flitwick, and Megan Leigh Peat had been arguing over his jealousy and trust issues in the hours before her death.

Harlington Upper School student Megan, of Flitwick Road, Westoning, died from at least 60 serious stab wounds to her face, head, chest and arms on June 9, the court heard.

She was found lying in a pool of blood in a friend’s house in Aylesbury Road, Ampthill, at about 1.30am.
