Light up a Life for Cancer

Young patients from the Luton&Dunstable Hospital children’s ward will be joined by members of Dunstable’s Rock Choir and Moorlands School Choir to launch this year’s charity appeal Light up a Life for Cancer.

They will switch on the Christmas tree lights in the hospital’s main entrance at 6pm on Monday (December 3).

Lights can be sponsored for £5 each, or £10 for three.

They can be bought as a gift in the name of someone special, who will be notified by card, or in memory of a loved one.

L&D Fundraising manager Sarah Newby said: “Light up a Life is a great way for people to show they care and make a real difference to our cancer patients this Christmas.

“Every penny raised will go to the chemotherapy department in the cancer unit.”
