Lost your pooch? Click a dog warden!

New online service for dog owners to trace missing pets

The Town Hall has launched a new Click A Dog Warden service so that anxious dog owners who have lost their pet can ask for help at the click of a button.

Following Luton Borough Council's successful launch of the UK's first ever Dial a Dog Warden service ten years ago, helping dog owners to quickly trace their lost pet using a directory of dog wardens for every area in the country, the authority decided to try a new online service.

Click A Dog Warden is easily accessible on the internet.

Councillor Don Worlding, responsible for the dog warden service, said: "Click A Dog Warden builds on the success of Dial a Dog Warden, enabling anyone to immediately email and send photos of their missing animal to all local dog wardens to help them track down their lost dog as quickly as possible."

The Dial A Dog Warden directory has also been rearranged into counties for easier reference.
