Luton man charged with child sex offences

A man from Luton has been charged with sexual offences against children.

Waqar Hussain, 24, from Kingsway in Luton is charged with a number of offences in relation to a 14-year-old girl in High Wycombe.

He is charged with one count of meeting a child following sexual grooming, one act of sexual touching of a child under 16, and one count of sexual activity with a child under 16.

The charges follow a complaint made by the mother of the alleged victim that her daughter had been contacted via a social networking site by a man and she had met up with him between October 23 and November 14.

Mr Hussain has been remanded in custody and will appear at Oxford Crown Court tomorrow (December 21).
