Man exposes himself to dog walker in Luton

Police are looking for witnesses after a man was seen masturbating in the woods by a dogwalker in Luton on Sunday (February 24).

The 36-year-old victim was walking her dog near the wooded area in Popes Meadow at about 8am when she saw the man walking out of the woods.

He was masturbating and followed her for a short distance, before the woman called the police from her mobile phone.

The man then ran off towards Clarendon Road. The victim chased him, keeping her distance, keeping the police updated on her phone.

As she left the park, she spoke to another member of the public as the offender left the area, heading towards Old Bedford Road.

Police are particularly keen to hear from the man who the victime spoke with in Clarendon Road as he may have valuable information.

The offender is described as a white male, wearing a black hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.

A man has been arrested in connection with the offence but released on police bail, pending further enquiries.
