A MAN was punched in the face by a robber when he didn’t give him any money in Library Road on Sunday (June 17).

The 33-year-old victim was walking across the Library Gap area of Library Road at 12.15am when he was approached by a white male who ran up behind him and asked for some money.

The victim said he didn’t have any, so the offender punched him in the face and then ran off towards Luton Railway Station.

The victim suffered a broken nose and is currently undergoing further medical treatment for his injury.

Det Con Mandy Godfree is keen to hear from anyone who was in the Library Road area at the time of the attack or may have seen the offender.
