Man rescued from house fire

A man had to be rescued by firefighters after a blaze broke out at a house in Luton yesterday morning (February 21).

Crews were called to St Augustine Avenue, in the Saints area, just after 10am, to a report that a man was trapped in a terraced house.

The fire was on the ground floor of the property and was tackled by six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.
