Miss Bedfordshire 2008 kicks off

Apply now to enter the beauty pageant

It's top tiara time again as the annual Miss Bedfordshire beauty pageant kicks off.

Beauties across the county will fight it out to be crowned Miss Bedfordshire 2008, and the winner is automatically entered in to the Miss England contest.

Local ladies have been successful in previous years, with Houghton Regis stunner Karlene Vardy scooping the crown in 2006 and Leighton Buzzard lovely Anna Lovato winning first place last year.

But how about making a Luton lady number one in 2008?

The Bedfordshire heat will be held on May 10 at Bedford nightclub Chapel 29.

Local celebrities are being asked to judge the contest and Bedford Town FC will host a fun photoshoot.

If you are aged 17 to 24, unmarried and childless, apply now.

Email organiser Emma Allan at allanemma1@googlemail.com for an application form and more information, call 07847 926 258 or post your details, along with two recent snaps, to Miss Beds DPT, 55 Warnerville Road, Liverpool, Merseyside. L13 4BQ.
