Police are re-appealing for witnesses to the crash

A man from Luton was killed in a road traffic collision in Harpenden on Tuesday.

The 46-year-old suffered fatal injuries when his motorbike collided with a blue Ford Transit van.

The van was emerging from Kinsbourne Green Lane onto the A1081 Luton Road at 10.50am when it collided with the black Aprilia motorbike, which was travelling north on Luton Road.

Sadly the rider of the motorbike was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crash investigation officer Sgt Richard Cruse from Herts Police said: “I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident but not yet been spoken to by police.

“Anyone with information about the incident should contact me in the Collision Investigation Unit on the non-emergency number 101.”
