Murder appeal: Woman with pushchair sought
Police say they are seeking two men and a woman with a pushchair who could be vital witnesses in the Delaney Brown murder case.
The appeal comes after detectives stopped motorists in Vincent Road, where the fatal collision happened, on the one-week anniversary of the incident.
Posters and leaflets were circulated in the area and house to house enquiries were also conducted.
Detective Chief Insp Steve Collin, leading the inquiry, said: “The operation was extremely useful and did allow us to gather information about a number of people who were seen in the area at the time Delaney was knocked from his bicycle.
“A woman pushing a buggy with two children was seen in Vincent Road moments before the collision.
She has been described as white, with a tanned complexion, approximately 5ft 6ins tall, in her late 20s, with dark hair in a pony tail.
“It is believed she turned around and walked away in the opposite direction when the collision happened.
“Two men wearing Balfour Beatty uniforms were also seen in the street at around the same time.
“These people are not in any trouble but they could be vital witnesses to the collision itself and I would urge them to come forward and speak to me in complete confidence.
“They may not feel that they have anything of importance to say but they may hold a vital piece of information which could help this investigation.”
Police are also seeking information about a silver series one BMW (registration number WF11 RWV) which was found in Morris Close abandoned the following day with damage consistent with a collision.
The car had been stolen from Hounslow on on July 16.
Anyone with information should call the Incident Room on 01707 355666, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
