Public invited to Keech Cottage hospice open day
Nurses and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions
Find out more about Luton's Keech Cottage Children's Hospice and the special people who work there at its open day next Wednesday, September 24. The hospice is inviting members of the public to look around the facility, which looks after terminally ill children and provides invaluable support to their families.
Whether you have donated cash to Keech Cottage, gained sponsorship for one of its fundraising events, played the charity's weekly lottery or simply want to know more about the service they provide, drop in anytime between 10am and 7pm.
On the day, visitors will be able to walk around the multi-sensory room, games room, music room, outdoor playground and hydrotherapy swimming pool, as well as the care area and specially adapted bedrooms. Staff and volunteers will be available to answer any questions.
Keech Cottage is a haven for children and their families to stay during times of need, or when specialist support is needed.
It costs 2.5 million a year to run the children's hospice, 75 per cent of which comes from donations from the local community.
Keech Cottage is in Great Bramingham Lane, Luton. No appointment is needed for the open day.
