Schools closed due to snow and ice

Many schools across Luton are closed this morning after several inches of snow fell yesterday.

Traffic on major routes in the town is moving freely this morning but minor roads and pavements are still proving hazardous.

But a day off from school won’t be bringing fun for everyone – a message on Lea Manor High School’s website instructs students not to use the day as a holiday but to use online learning resources to carry on with their work.

Some schools are staying open however, including Caddington Village School.

You can see the full list of school closures on the Heart FM website.
