A 22-year-old student had his laptop which contained all his research stolen. The incident happened on September 17 between 6pm and 7pm at the University of Bedfordshire campus building in Luton.

The laptop contained the student’s unpublished paper and years of research to support his Communications Engineering Degree.

It is described as a black Samsung 400b with a 15.6ins screen and the officer in charge of this investigation, PC Ruth John-Chambers, would urge anyone who has been offered a cheap laptop matching this description to contact her.

PC John-Chambers said: “The content of this laptop is vital to the victim’s studies and unfortunately the work it contained has not been backed up. This is a devastating blow to the future of this young man and I would urge anyone who can help reunite him with his laptop to contact the police, in confidence.”
