Students produce Sensations show
Sensations producer Sakkina Merali-Piercy with presenter Caroline Jemirifo
A dating show with a difference - that’s what third year TV production students from the University of Bedfordshire will be showcasing next month.
Producer Sakkina Merali-Piercy, 23, said: “We’ve called it Sensations and it’s based on the five senses – taste, touch, smell, sight and sound.
“Four contestants will be fighting for the attention of one girl.
“In order to be picked the guys have to make it through various rounds.”
The presenter is Caroline Jemirifo, 19, whose professional appearance belies the fact she’s a second year media performance student.
Auditions were held both on and off campus and the show has involved a team of more than 30, including camera crew, set designers, sound and lighting engineers, autocue controllers and pre and post production personnel.
Sakkina said: “We’ve been working non-stop and will be rehearsing every week until the live show on December 12.
“We’ve set out to push the boundaries and make our mark in TV history – we’ll be broadcasting worldwide too.”
