FANCY seeing Luton from above?

A 35-metre high ferris wheel is back in St George’s Square, and will be open for rides from tomorrow (October 20).

From the top, riders will be able to take in unique views of the town centre, the Hart Lane Water Tower and right out to the Warden Hills.

The huge mechanism is the largest transportable wheel in Europe and has visited the city centres of Manchester, York, Liverpool and Belfast.

It takes workers three days to assemble and seats a maximum of 144 passengers in 24 carriages.

The wheel will be operating until 4 November, and will be open from Sunday to Thursday from 11am – 7pm, and from Friday to Saturday from 10am – 10.30pm.
