Train delays ‘until early tomorrow’

First Capital Connect has again apologised to passengers after confirming current delays on the Thameslink service will last “until early tomorrow” because overhead wires have come down.

A spokesman said: “No-one should be delayed more than two hours and train replacement bus services are in place.

“Passengers can use their tickets on the Great Northern Line to Hitchin and then catch a bus to Luton, or go to St Neots and catch a bus to Bedford.”

It is understood more than a kilometre of overhead wire has been affected.
