UPDATE: Assault in Luton town centre

Inkerman Street and Cardigan Street are currently cordoned off

A man has been airlifted to hospital following an incident in Inkerman Street earlier this afternoon (Monday).

He is believed to have suffered a severe arm injury in the attack, which happened outside the HQ men’s hair salon.

Witnesses who spoke to Luton Today said they believed the man, who has been taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, had been stabbed.

New Bedford Road is closed outside the Galaxy Centre while forensics officers gather evidence.
