Unsung heroes from across Luton and South Beds were honoured in style at a glitzy ceremony to announce the winners of our Pride Awards on Monday night, May 24.
Opening the evening, Luton Mayor, Councillor Tom Shaw said: "Luton often gets a lot of stick but it's a good town. Look at all the people here tonight who have done extraordinary things - Luton should congratulate itself."
And soon the worthy winners were announced by EastEnders actor Adam Woodyatt, who plays Ian Beale in the long-running soap. Prizes went to the following;

Child Of Courage - Freddie Johnson
Best Volunteer - Hospice At Home
Young Achiever - Asif Rahmani
Community Project Of The Year - Lewsey Residents Association
Making Communities Safer - Luton All Womens Centre
Adult Achiever - Greg Roden
Community Company of the Year - Macs Plasterboard Systems
School Of The Year - Bramingham Primary School
People's Choice - Robert Collins
