Warning over ‘danger bend’

CRASH SPOT: The bend in Sundon Road has seen a number of accidents in recent weeks

CRASH SPOT: The bend in Sundon Road has seen a number of accidents in recent weeks

A councillor has warned that someone will soon be killed on a stretch of road that has seen numerous crashes in the past two months.

A number of motorists have fallen foul of the bend in Sundon Road between Chalton and Houghton Regis, with the most recent smash happening on Thursday morning (January 10).

Russell Currell, chairman of Chalton Parish Council, said: “There’s going to be a death there sooner or later – there has been one in the past.”

For the full story see this weeks Luton News and Dunstable Gazette, out Wednesday, January 16.
