WEATHER UPDATE: Heavy snow causes school closures

Children are getting another day off going to classes today, Thursday February 4, after heavy snow fell last night

It's another day of chaos caused by heavy snow as the coldest winter in years goes on and on. A huge list of schools had closed by 7am, including the following:

Ashcroft High School, Barnfield Academy, Bramingham Primary, Bushmead Primary, Cardinal Newman, Challney High School for Girls, Chalney High School for Boys and Community College.

Crawley Green and Wenlock Pre-school, Crawley Green Infants, Crawley High School for Girls,

Denbigh High School Luton, Ferrars Infant & Nursery, Ferrars Junior, Foxdell Junior, Harthill Nursery and Childrens Centre, Hillcrest Special School Houghton Regis.

Houghton Regis Lower School, Icknield High, Lealands High, Maidenhall Primary, Meads Primary,

Norton Road Primary, Pirton Hill Primary, Putteridge Hill Infants, Putteridge High, Putteridge Junior, Ramridge Primary, Richmond Hill Special.

Sacred Heart Primary, Someries Junior & Infant, Southfield Infant & Junior Schools, St Martins DePorres School, St Marys Lower, Caddington, St Vincent Primary Houghton Regis, Stopsley High, Sundon Lower, Tennyson Road Primary.
