Wiggy's Cup sets £10,000 target for children's charity

Wiggy’s Cup, which is held in memory of Lewis Snow, will be held at Playfootball.net, Stopsley, on Sunday, June 12.

They have held the tournament every year since 2008 and all the money raised goes to the charity that Lewis regularly donated to.

This year they are hoping to reach the £10,000 mark for the charity, the current total is £9156.48.

Lewis’ mum, Jackie Snow, said: “I want to thank everybody for their support over the years it feels like we will be reaching an important milestone this year by hitting the £10,000 mark.

“Lewis would be so proud of everything that has been achieved in his memory.

“It is a day for the whole family, not just footballers, there is music, food, drinks, soft play and much more.

“We also have Leon Cashman doing a sky dive on 2nd July in Lewis’ memory raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

“I want to thank everybody who turns up to watch, people who bake cakes, make jewellery and all sorts to sell, all the people who have helped organise it over the years and a special thank you to Bianca Lee-John from Dream Big Parties and Consultancy for all her hard work and new ideas she brought to the day itself over the past couple of years.

“We hope to see you all there, if you can’t make it on the day but still want to donate, there is an online page exclusively for Lewis with GOSH called Lewis Fontaine Brighter Future Fund.”

On the day there will be face painting, henna tattoos, tarot card readings, penalty shoot outs for children, a football pool table and a dance performance from Rhythm Junkeys.
