Witnesses needed for assault on teenager

The police are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old boy was assaulted during an attempted robbery on Friday (February 22).
The youngster was walking along a pathway between Hancock Drive and Old Bedford Road in Luton at about 6pm when three offenders approached him from behind, punching him several times.
They demanded he hand over his mobile phone and when he refused, he was assaulted again.
The victim managed to break free and run towards a nearby house while the offenders fled towards Riddy Lane.
Investigating officer DC Tim Worden is keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the attack or seen the offenders in the area.
All three are Asian males aged about 17.
One was wearing a black and white striped tracksuit top with jeans, another had a green coat and the third was wearing a blue coat.
