Woman sees son threatened with gun and stabbed in leg
Armed raiders who broke into a woman’s home threatened her son with a gun and stabbed him in the leg with a screwdriver.
Three men broke into the house in Tinsley Close, Farley Hill, as the 47-year-old woman was watching television at about 10.30pm on February 17. One told her to stay still while the others went upstairs.
The woman was then taken upstairs where her son was being held face down on a bed while one man put what appeared to be a gun to his head. He was also stabbed in the leg with a screw driver.
One of the men had emptied the contents of a suitcase onto the bed and then held a knife to the victim’s son and demanded money. She said she did not have any cash and the trio then fled.
The first offender is described as white, around 5ft 5ins tall, of stocky build. The second was black, around 20 years old, and also around 5ft 5ins tall, and the third was also black and around 6ft tall.
Anyone with information about the incident should call police on 01582 394449.
