A Luton dad is planning a double whammy tandem skydive next month dressed as Darth Varder. He’ll be accompanied by his friend Jamie Desmond who’ll be sporting a Storm Trooper outfit.
Alex Goddard, 26, hopes to raise awareness of children’s mental health while simultaneously fundraising for Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Mildred Creek Unit where his 10-year-old son Kyle is currently receiving treatment.
The British gas worker from Wigmore said: “Kyle was diagnosed with ADHD and Asperger syndrome. He suffers from social anxiety, aggressive behaviour and emotional problems. He also has learning difficulties.
“We’re hoping to raise enough money for new training at GOSH which offers quality support for children with similar problems. We also hope to raise a great deal of awareness that mental health issues don’t just affect adults but very young children too.”
