EU referendum: Luton votes for Brexit

Luton has voted for Britain to leave the European Union.

Britain has voted to leave the European Union by more than one million votes.

In all 36,708 people in Luton voted for remain, 47,773 for leave (56%).

Luton’s total turnout was 84,636 (66.32%) - 70,337 of those votes were made at polling stations.

Voters in Central Bedfordshire also voted to leave the EU.

In all 89,134 backed Brexit (56%), while 69,670 (44%) wanted to stay in the European Union.
