Students will get the chance to grill Luton North’s prospective parliamentary candidates as Luton Sixth Form College hosts an election hustings event tomorrow.

The Question Time style debate will take place in the college’s Eastside Theatre from 4pm and will feature Kelvin Hopkins (Labour), Allan White (UKIP), Dean Russell (Conservatives) and Sofiya Ahmed (Green).

Cllr David Franks will also appear on behalf of Lib Dem candidate Aroosa Ulzaman.

Government and politics course manager John Ramm said the event is an “exciting opportunity” for students.

He added: “Our college has more than 2,600 students who are probably going to be more affected than any other generation by what is going to happen over the next five years.

“I’m looking forward to them asking probing and forensic questions which will help shape their decision.”
