Don’t throw out your old Christmas cards with the rubbish - recyle them and help save the environment.
Supermarket chain Sainsbury’s is offering an in-store service to support the Forest Stewardship Council which, in turn, will help protect the world’s forests.
The scheme will operate until Wednesday, January 13.
There are collection boxes in more than 1,000 supermarkets across the country and online customers can send theirs in when their shopping is delivered.
Last year more than 87 tonnes of Christmas cards were donated. This resulted in a cheque for £12,000 for the FSC, which helped promote responsible management of the world’s forests.
Dunstable store manager John Ratcliffe said: “We’ve always had a brilliant response from our customers and with their help, we’re going to make an even bigger contribution this time.”
