Pupils from St Matthew’s Primary School visited The Mall’s Wilko store to learn about its Wild Bird campaign and collect a donation of wild bird seeds and feeders.

The aim of the donation is to encourage children to protect wildlife within their playgrounds and gardens. Store manager Graeme Bickle said: “I think it is crucial to educate children on the importance of protecting and looking after our wildlife, in particular the wonderful array of wild birds our country has to offer.”

Headteacher Jane Thomas, said: “We are so pleased team members at the Luton Wilko store chose our school to get involved with their Wild Bird campaign.”
